Kindness doesn't just extend to our neighbors but to our digital friends as well, whether they're an NPC or anonymous. Players can draw comfort traveling the virtual world, sharing struggles, giving and receiving gifts from virtual neighbors, working together to reach a mutual goal, and building a community center.
It Takes Two
It Takes Two is a co-op action-adventure platform game. It can be played through either local or online play. The best part is only one person needs to own the game. If that's not a co-op game, I don't know what is. Players help each other across an abundance of unexpected obstacles while simultaneously learning about Cody and Mary's relationship.
Kind Words
Kind Words is an online co-op game. In Kind Words, you can write about your worries, hopes, dreams, and fears. Anonymous people can respond by providing you with words of wisdom, congratulations, kindness, and support. You can then say thanks with a sticker. Players can customize their room by selecting the background, lofi music, and by placing the stickers in their room.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal Crossing is a social simulation game. It is an open-ended sim with a highly customizable sandbox. Players can build, collect, craft, decorate, grow plants, fish, trade, catch bugs, play, and socialize. You can daily interact with the animals on your island, learning about their life and personality.
Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley is a co-op simulation role-playing game. You can play couch co-op, online co-op, or as a single player. Players clear land, manage crops, mine, forage, care for animals, craft, monitor sleep cycles, visit local stores, socialize with the townsfolk, complete community tasks, and explore the surrounding area. Players work together with local junimo to unlock the community center, which provides a place for the townsfolk to gather.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat
Overcooked! All You Can Eat is a chaotic co-op chaotic cooking game. You can play couch co-op, online co-op, or as a single player. Players work together to create a meal, preparing meals via preparation of ingredients, cooking, serving, and cleaning up while under a time limit encouraged to complete as many dishes as possible. Overcooked is accessible and can be adjusted for scalable UI, dyslexia-friendly text and color blindness options are available.
