Steam Next Fest June edition is an annual week-long celebration of upcoming game releases from June 19th to June 26th. The festival allows users to play hundreds of free demos with over thirty genres to choose from, including VR. Sadly, there are too many demos to play all of them within a week. To help find the demos you're most interested in, use the filter feature to browse for the specific demos you'd like to play. You can also browse popular upcoming, most wishlisted, and daily active demo players. If you find a demo you adore and can't wait for the release, add it to your wishlist so you'll receive an email notification when that game releases. To add a game to your wishlist, simply hover over it and click on the star icon located in the top right corner. This will add the game to your wishlist.
If you want regular updates, you can check if the developers have a discord. You can find the discord link in the game description box or the About This Game description by clicking on a banner. The Official Game Discord usually contains game updates, fan art, bug reports, feedback, Q&A, dev journals, and general chat channels.
Another important part of Next Fest are the live streams featured at the top of the festival page along with the live stream schedule. Live streams will be going on 24 hours a day, with multiple games sharing the same time slot. The live streams are generally the dev teams playing their game and answering fans' questions. Steam Next Fest helps developers by allowing them to get early feedback from players before their release. This enables game developers to implement necessary and recommended updates to their games. The festival helps developers to grow their audience and increase wishlists and sales before launching their products. In order to participate, you must possess a Steam account and have the Steam app. Certain demos may only be accessible on Windows, while others will be available for both Windows and Mac.
